About Sponsorship
Community broadcasting stations are subject to some constraints through legislation when it comes to the broadcast of promotional material. The term "sponsorship" is used to distinguish between the on-air promotional activity that is permitted on community stations and advertising that happens on commercial stations. Community stations can sell sponsorship announcements, not advertising.
2MCE
2MCE is a not-for-profit community radio station broadcasting to Bathurst, Orange, and surrounding districts - encompassing the communities of Blayney and Oberon.
In all there are over 90,000 people in our listening area. A rapidly growing percentage of the market place is tuning to Community Radio, Locally around 27,000 per week. Community Radio is the fastest growing sector in Australian Broadcasting with around 4,034,000 Australians listening each week just to community radio.
